Two lectures by Norbert Kowalkowski at the 14th International Symposium in Krakow

    The Patent Office of the Republic of Poland cordially invites you to the 14th international symposium on "Intellectual property in an innovative economy. IP in the innovation ecosystem - conservation, management and commercialization strategies ", which will take place on September 6-7, 2018 at the International Cultural Center at Rynek Główny 25 in Krakow High Technology Glass Polska encourages participation in the event due to presentation by the Managing Director, Norbert Kowalkowski.

The group of co-organizers of the symposium includes the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Marshal's Office of the Małopolska Voivodship and the following universities: Jagiellonian University, AGH University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw University of Technology, Kielce University of Technology and Cracow University of Technology. In addition, due to the importance of the subject of the meeting and the international nature of the undertaking, the Embassy of the State of Israel and the US Embassy joined the cooperation.

The symposium will be devoted to innovation management, creation of strategies for their protection and support of commercialization processes, with particular emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises, clusters, university companies and startups. Currently, more and more of these companies base their competitive advantage on intellectual capital and innovations. Extremely important in this context is their legal protection as well as constant improvement of knowledge about the management and protection of intellectual property, especially in the aspect of effective technology transfer. These processes can often be a decisive factor in development.

During the meeting, Norbert Kowalkowski will familiarize listeners with the following topics:

  1. Commercialization in Polish - the first lesson. The lecture will be conducted together with the young inventor, Filip Wylęgała. The discussion will be attended by: Justyna Cięgotura (Poznań Science and Technology Park), Krzysztof Gulda (UWRC Sp. O.o.), Bartosz Sokoliński (Industrial Development Agency S.A.)
  2. 3 commercialization models - Norbert Kowalkowski (HTG Polska), Barak Finkelshtein (StarTau TelAviv University- Israel), prof. Jerzy Lis (Krakow Center for Innovative Technologies, INNOAGH Sp.z o.o.), Maciej Sadowski (StartupHub), Ray Wheatley (MS CLP -USa)
